    Frequently Asked Questions

Doesn’t the alcohol in the jelly thoroughly evaporate?

No, only 10% of the alcohol cooks out during jelly-making. It would need to be cooked down to a paste, and the flavor is gone at that point. However, we developed a proprietary method of removing the alcohol without losing the flavor. Our jellies are tested to be well below the required Non-alcoholic status.

Who comes up with the ideas for each unique product, and who creates the Cookbook?

Each employee created a product during their incarcerated period. They brainstormed with their families, others on our staff, and those they were close to while incarcerated. Upon release, the team worked together to compile the project.

How do you help inmates and former inmates?

    1. We hire released felons referred by the Parole Officers and attorneys to perform the jobs necessary to run the company.

    2. We also support artists who need a platform to sell their art and artisan crafts. We call the program Beyond the Fence. We do not charge any artist to be on this platform.

    3. We sell originals, prints, and note cards, with 100% of the sales price going to the artist or their family.

    4. We sign a contract to assure the artist that we do not use their products for our gain.

Do you have any other outreach services?

    1. We offer support for the community through speaking at clubs and civic events.

    2. We provide emotional-inspirational support for anyone struggling with mental health issues by posting inspirational sayings at prison ministry events.

    3. We speak to employers to assist in understanding reentry and what it means to a business.
